Part Two

An early source for the belief in underground civilizations is the book, The Smoky God (1908) by Willis George Emerson (1856 – 1918), which claims to be the biography of a Norwegian sailor named Olaf Jansen. The book explains how Jansen’s sloop sailed through an entrance to the Earth’s interior at the North Pole. For two years he lived with the inhabitants of an underground network of colonies who, Emerson writes, were a full 12 feet tall and whose world was lit by a “smoky” central sun. Their capital city was said to be the original Garden of Eden. While Emerson does not use the name Agartha, later works such as *Agartha Secrets of the Subterranean Cities, *have identified the civilization Jansen encountered with Agartha, and its citizens as Agarthian.

 According to Secrets, Shamballa the Lesser, one of the colonies, was also the seat of government for the network. While Shamballa the Lesser is an inner continent, its satellite colonies are smaller enclosed ecosystems located just beneath the Earth’s crust or discreetly within mountains. The many cataclysms and wars that took place on the surface drove these people underground. The lengthy Atlantean-Lemurian war and the power of thermonuclear weaponry is what many believe eventually sank and destroyed these two highly advanced civilizations. The Sahara, the Gobi, the Australian Outback, and the deserts of the U.S. are but a few examples of the devastation that resulted.

The Entrances

There are allegedly several entrances to the Kingdom of Agharta throughout the world: Some are planetary grid points – indwells and outwells of energy.

• Kentucky Mammoth Cave, in south-central Kentucky, US.
• Manaus, Brazil
• Morona-Santiago in Ecuador, discovered by Juan Moricz.
• Mato Grosso, Brazil – City of Posid
• Iguazu Falls, border of Brazil and Argentina
• Himalayan Mountains, Tibet – the entrance to the underground city of Shonshe is allegedly guarded by Hindu monks.
• Mongolia – the underground city of Shingwa allegedly exists beneath the border of Mongolia and China
• Rama, India – beneath this surface city is a long-lost subterranean city, they say, also named Rama
• Great Pyramid of Giza
• King Solomon’s Mines
• North and South Poles
• Mount Shasta, California – the Agharthean city of Telos allegedly exists within and beneath this mountain

INHABITANTS

The Old Ones – In an article entitled “The Hollow Earth https://www.tokenrock.com/explain-Hollow-Earth-Theory-194.html: Myth or Reality” for Atlantis Rising, Brad Steiger writes of the legends of “the Old Ones,” an ancient race (Lemurians) that populated the surface world millions of years ago and then moved underground. “The Old Ones, an immensely intelligent and scientifically advanced race,” Steiger writes, “have chosen to structure their own environment under the surface of the planet and manufacture all their necessities. The Elder Race – One of the most controversial tales of inner-Earth-dwellers is the so-called “Shaver Mystery.” In 1945, Amazing Stories magazine under the editorship of Ray Palmer ran a story told by Richard Shaver, who claimed he had recently been the guest of what remained of an underground civilization. Although few really believed the story, and many suspect that Shaver may have been psychotic, Shaver always averred that his story was true.

He contended that the Elder Race, or Titans, came to this planet from another solar system in our prehistoric past. After a time of living on the surface, they realized our sun was causing them to age prematurely, so they escaped underground, building huge subterranean complexes in which to live.

*BUDDHIST*

Agartha(sometimes referred to as Agharta, Agharti or Agarttha) is a legendary civilization that is said to reside in the Earth’s core. Shamballa (also known as Shambalah or Shangri-La) is said to be its capital city. It has been called the Forbidden Land, the Land of White Waters, the Land of Radiant Spirits, the Land of Living Fire, the Land of the Living Gods, and the Land of Wonders. Hindus have known it as Aryavartha (literally : The Land or Realm of The Aryans ; the Land of the Noble/Worthy Ones”) – the land from which the Vedas come; the Chinese as Hsi Tien, the Western Paradise of Hsi Wang Mu, the Royal Mother of the West; the Russian Old Believers, a nineteenth-century Christian sect, knew it as Belovodye and the Kirghiz people as Janaidar. But throughout Asia it is best known by its Sanskrit name, Shambhala, meaning ‘the place of peace, of tranquility.’

Ancient philosophy states that Agartha was first colonized thousands of years ago when a holy man led a tribe to the underground. The people have scientific knowledge and expertise far beyond that of the people who live on the surface of the planet.

Buddhist theory suggests there to be a race of supermen and superwomen who occasionally come to the surface to oversee the development of humans. It is also believed that this subterranean world has millions of inhabitants and many cities. The King of this world is believed to have given orders to the Dalai Lama of Tibet, who is his terrestrial representative. His messages are transmitted through certain secret tunnels connecting the inner world of Agartha with Tibet.

*Native American peoples*

Among the Native American peoples, the Navajo legends teach that the forerunners of man came from beneath the Earth. The ancient ones had supernatural powers but were driven from their caverns by a great flood. Once on the surface, they passed on their great knowledge to humans before once again seeking their great sanctuary.

The Pueblo Indians mythology also places their gods place of origin in the inner earth. The inner world was supposedly connected to the surface people by a hole in the North. The ancient writings of the Chinese, Egyptians, and Eskimos speak of a great opening in the North and of a race of people who live under the Earth’s crust. The writings say that their ancestors came from the paradise land in the Earth’s interior.

Nicholas Roerich

The famous Russian channel, Nicholas Roerich, who was a channel for the Ascended Master, El Morya, claimed that Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, was connected by a tunnel with the inner Earth, Shamballa. The entrance of this tunnel was guarded by lamas who were sworn to secrecy. *In Tibet, there is a major mystical shrine also called ‘Patala*,’ which is said by the people there to sit atop an ancient cavern and tunnel system, which reaches throughout the Asian continent and possibly beyond. The *Nagas* also traditionally have an affinity with water, and the entrances to their underground palaces are often said to be hidden at the bottom of wells, deep lakes, and rivers.

The legs of the god Vishnu as the purusha depict earth and the six realms of Patala. The feet rest on Shesha, a serpentine demigod.

“What,” exclaimed the sage, “can be compared to Pātāla, where the Nāgas are decorated with brilliant and beautiful and pleasure-shedding jewels? Who will not delight in Pātāla, where the lovely daughters of the Daityas and Dānavas wander about, fascinating even the most austere; where the rays of the sun diffuse light, and not heat ( humm??), by day; and where the moon shines by night for illumination, not for cold; where the sons of Danu, happy in the enjoyment of delicious viands and strong wines, know not how time passes? There are beautiful groves and streams and lakes where the lotus blows; and the skies are resonant with the Koïl’s song. Splendid ornaments, fragrant perfumes, rich unguents, the blended music of the lute and pipe and tabor; these and many other enjoyments are the common portion of the Dānavas, Daityas, and snake-gods, who inhabit the regions of Pātāla.”

Patala is described as filled with splendid jewels, beautiful groves and lakes others point to, as it shares many similarities with depictions of a subterranean world, though it is said they are at war with the Agarthans. Patala is the seventh layer of the underworld in Hindu scriptures and is ruled by the nagas, a half-human, half-reptilian species who are depicted with jeweled hoods that light their realm. The Naga is a highly advanced race with cutting-edge technology.

It was Narada, the divine wandering sage, who first visited the seven realms of Patala. Describing it as being more beautiful than Svarga (or heaven). Patala is filled with splendid jewels of every color and size, adorned with beautiful groves surrounding glorious lakes, with lovely demon maidens to attend on one. The air is infused with sweet fragrances and music. The soil around each of the constructed palaces, temples, houses, yards, and hotels where foreigners can dwell is a rainbow of colors and textures including white, black, purple, sandy, yellow, stony, and that of gold.

With all this abundance of wealth, life is said to be a pleasure. For in Patala there is no old age, no illness, in fact, no distress whatsoever. In these realms, the light of the sun grows ever more diffuse so the naga, described as snakes with anywhere between one and seven heads, adorn their hoods with jewels that shine a bright light upon the planets or realms surface. In addition, the temperature is always comfortable, so no one feels either hot or cold.

China  Nuwa and Fuxi

Will we ever find out if there exists an underground civilization below the surface of the Earth? There have been attempts to drill down as far as possible to see what is there, and the Kola Superdeep Borehole made it about 7 miles. The Russian team that led the operation did not find Agartha, though it would likely be much further down.

El Dorado may not have existed, but what was clear was that there was Paititi, northeast of Cuzco, there was more gold there than in the capital of the Inca empire itself. Paititi is considered today the great archeological enigma of South America. Some believe the gold came from the inner earth people.

In 2001, Italian archaeologist Mario Polia discovered the report of a missionary named Andres Lopez in the Vatican archives. In the document, which dates from 1600, Lopez describes in detail, a large city rich in gold, silver, and jewels, located in the middle of the tropical jungle called Paititi by the natives. Lopez informed the Pope about his discovery and the Vatican has kept Paititi’s location secret for decades.

First book of the Old Testament: Genesis 6:44 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also, after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

George Papashvily in his Anything Can Happen (1940) claimed the discovery in the Caucasus mountains of a cavern containing human skeletons “with heads as big as bushel baskets” and an ancient tunnel leading to the center of the Earth.

Here is one for your “Forbidden Archaeology” file. Scientists are remaining stubbornly silent about a lost race of giants found in burial mounds near Lake Delavan, Wisconsin, in May 1912.
